About US Kozy Kids Company ® is a mommy owned and operated business. I have always made things I couldn't find in stores long before I had children. My mom taught me to sew when I was 8. My passion then was Barbie cloths, and it was the perfect way to pass time on the cold winter nights growing up in Canada. I met and married my husband John in 1989 he is in the U.S Navy. We have 4 amazing boys ages 10 to 17. It was during my first pregnancy in 1990 that I stopped sewing and designing things for myself and our home, and started a sewing frenzy making blankets, hats, car seat covers and crib bedding as well as a very fancy vogue bassinet with trim for our baby to be Blake. By the time Blake was born I had pretty much made him 3 or 4 of everything a baby could need. In February 1994 during the birth of our second son Cameron a terrible ice storm hit Virginia Beach, Virginia. With encouragement from friends and family I made my first batch of Kozy Kids Company® fleece hats and Blankets. I sold them in several baby boutiques in Va. Beach and Norfolk. They were an instant hit! Several of the shop owners said customers were asking if I had any other products available. When I told a friend she asked why I didn't sell some of the other items that I made and loved for my kids. I did just that.... In 1999 our family now with four boys left the East Coast for Washington State. We settled on beautiful Whidbey Island thanks to the U.S Navy. When our youngest son was two and their were no more diapers to change! I decided it was time for Kozy Kids Company® to hit the internet. The rest is pretty much history! I enjoy selecting the perfect fabrics for every Kozy item. For me ever item I design is truly a labor of love. I feel good knowing each item I create is special and unique just like the little one I'm creating it for. Thank you for your continued support over 14 years Diane Stevens, and Family
